Overview

Gorilla Trekking Safari in Rwanda and Uganda taking you to watch gorilla in Volcanoes national park and Bwindi impenetrable forest. Both trekking experience are quite different and totally worth going for. This tour starts and ends in Kigali.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kinigi – Volcanoes NP

Be up and ready by 5:am and you will be picked from your hotel by our company tour guide who will, drive off immediately on a 2 hours drive to Musanze province home go the Volcanoes national park. Drive will take you through the spectacular view of the hilly- Rwanda countryside. You will report at the park headquarters by 07:00 for briefing before proceeding with the park rangers for the memorable Gorilla trekking.

The time taken hiking for gorillas highly depends on the moment of the gorillas since they are wildlife animals in the jungle. But your ranger guide has a rough idea where they maybe as he communicates with his colleagues who go earlier into the forest to track the gorilla movements. Its much advisable for you to be prepared with necessary gear and parked lunch as you begin the strenuous, but exciting adventure. A maximum of one hour is allowed with the Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Volcanoes Lodge ( Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range), Muhabura Hotel (Basic).

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, cross the Uganda via the Cyanika border and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home for the mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp / Bakiga Lodge

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking

Wake up to an early breakfast at your hotel then proceed with your guide with packed lunch boxes to the Bwindi sad offices for a briefing about how to conduct during your trekking adventure. You will then enter the thick impenetrable forest in search for the rare intriguing giants. After a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos, return to the Camp for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Departure

Have breakfast at your hotel and then hit the road back to Rwanda for reaching in time to catch a tour of Kigali city. Expect to tour historical places like the genocide memorial site, the national museum. Later drop off at either your hotel or the airport.
